The Adult Module will begin to help you understand intimate partner violence and abuse (IPVA) / domestic violence and abuse (DVA) experienced by adults in a variety of contexts.
Sharing best practices in the subject, the module promotes the opportunity for learning new skills. Across Europe the differences in the rural/urban divide, socio-economic status, access to healthcare, neglect and loss of nuclear family, etc. result in different challenges when experiencing intimate partner violence and abuse/domestic violence and abuse and in the responses to adult survivors. The module seeks to provide medical and healthcare practitioners with a holistic approach due to the nature of migration across Europe for the population including medical and healthcare practitioners.
The module is divided into three sections:
- Section 1: Intimate partner/domestic violence and abuse experienced by adults
- Section 2: The impact of intimate partner violence and abuse/domestic violence and abuse on the well-being of adults
- Section 3: Indicators of adults experiencing intimate partner violence and abuse/domestic violence and abuse
Each section offers a range of reading, activities and resources for you to engage with.
